In the closing months of 2007, 2020 ITS was invited to the annual Wendy's Convention at the Orange County Convention Centre, Orlando, Florida, January 27th-30th, to exhibit the 2020 Staff Scheduler.
Conversations with owners of many Wendy's Franchises throughout Canada and America revealed that almost everyone had the same Number 1 concern: Labour Shortages.
With minimum wages rising, resources limited, and shift lengths restricted, over-staffing can waste precious hours - customer service levels might increase for the time that you are over-staffed, but you will end up leaving youself under-staffed for other periods of the day or week. If you do not have enough employees on your schedule, or you do not have the appropriately qualified employees scheduled, your customer service levels will quickly fall, and so will your profits.
Every restaurant should strive for a maximum level of customer service, at minimum cost.
As we spoke with Wendy's Franchise owners at the Convention, we discovered that, in today's economic climate, attracting the right staff has never been more challenging - retaining the best staff requires skill and the right tools.
